Did you know, the Guelph Humane Society helps roughly 1000 cats within Guelph and Wellington County each year!? Thanks to our dedicated Feline Friend volunteers, cats in our care are able to get some extra love and affection while they await their forever home.
Breanna is one of our wonderful Feline Friend volunteers. Breanna has been volunteering with GHS since Spring 2019 and was a regular face in our Cat Adoption Room at 500 Wellington St W before the COVID-19 pandemic put our in-shelter volunteer program on hold. You could always find Breanna in our cat adoption room with a smile on her face, chatting with staff and interested adopters. But how could you not smile when you find a kitty that rolls over for some belly rubs!?
Being a Feline Friend volunteer requires some knowledge of feline body language and can involve a bit of patience as some kitties may be more comfortable with human interaction than others. And while some cats may spend more time our care before they get adopted, we’re lucky to have dedicated volunteers like Breanna who give them that extra attention and help show them off to interested adopters! We can’t wait to have Breanna and the rest of our Feline Friend volunteers back with us in our brand-new cat adoption room at 190 Hanlon Creek Blvd!
