In partnership with Calm Canines, the Guelph Humane Society is proud to offer cooperative care-based nail trims that support your dog’s comfort and emotional well-being to dogs in our community. This appointment is for a dog nail trim only.
This gentle, nail trim is designed to keep your dog relaxed, understood, and comfortable every step of the way.
We take the time to read your dog’s body language, support them with calm handling, and work at a pace that feels safe for them — never rushed, never forced.
It’s more than a quick trim — it’s cooperative care built on trust, connection, and your dog’s emotional well-being. A smoother, kinder nail-care experience for dogs who are already comfortable… and a peaceful moment you can both feel good about. If your dog isn’t yet comfortable getting their nails done Calm Canines will use this time to problem solve and advise on cooperative care training solutions for you to try at home.
Please note, the Guelph Humane Society and Calm Canines uses a Fear Free approach to animal care, this means we never proceed with a procedure if animal shows signs of fear, anxiety or stress.
