We adopted Jacques from GHS in 2018, when he was around 13 years old. He was described as “an independent boy that enjoys the easy life” – and that sure was true at first! He took a few months to settle into his new home, spending most of his time lounging or eating on his own. He was quite nervous and not super interested in making any human friends initially, but with time, he slowly transformed into the super sweet, sensitive, and affectionate little boy he is today.
Since his adoption, we’ve been working hard to treat his general anxiety with medication and pheromone diffusers from the vet. He is finally fully regulated and has been doing wonderfully ever since! Now 15 years old, Jacques enjoys every day by playing and relaxing with his little family. Thank you so much to all the staff at GHS who cared for him, dealt with his GI and dental issues, and helped to find his forever home!
