Meet Lexus!
Lexus is a beautiful lady who likes everyone she meets. The more pets she gets, the closer she gets – she loves to lean into people, and sometimes even ends up in their laps!
Lexus loves to run around and play, she’s very smart and she’s very treat motivated. She’s been working on her comfort being handled, especially when going to the vet or being groomed. And luckily since treats are a special way to her heart, her Foster Mom can even trim her nails now – for the low price of lots of treats.
Her Foster Mom says she is a very quiet husky, and that she makes a great work-from home buddy. Lexus loves to help by curling up by your feet while she does all the hard work – taking naps.
Lexus has been diagnosed with diabetes, and it’s well managed with daily insulin and a special diet. It’s a time where Lexus gets lots of peanut butter and cheese whiz, two of her favourite things! She’s looking for a special family with knowledge about diabetic dogs that can help her continue to be the best, healthiest husky she can be.
Lexus has met children before and has enjoyed all the attention they’ve given her, so could live happily with respectful children. She’s also lived with cats and respectful dogs before, so she could do very well with a furry sibling, or also be happy just on her own!
While being with her Foster Mom, Lexus has been learning sign commands as she doesn’t have the best hearing. She already knows sit, down, paw, stay, and come. She’s such a smart dog, who loves to learn!
Lexus is such a playful, intelligent, affectionate girl who is so full of love, and everyone who meets her falls in love with her, too. Could you be next?
