Ginger’s adoption fee has been generously sponsored by Steve and Marlene Truscott! We are so grateful for their amazing support and we hope this will help Ginger find her new home soon!
Everyone meet sweet Ginger! Ginger is a sweet but shy senior who takes awhile to warm up to people who is looking for a quiet, mature home for her golden years. Ginger loves to play with ribbons and toy mice, and loves her food and getting belly rubs (she’ll roll over like a dog to get them!). She startles easily at loud noises, so unfortunately homes with young children or other pets wouldn’t be a good match for her.
Ginger currently has irritable bowel syndrome (IBD), but currently well controlled on a special vet gastrointestinal diet (Royal Canin Vet Diet GI Moderate Calorie and Fibre dry, Rayne Sensitive GI Wet food). Other diets have been tried, but unfortunately she doesn’t do well on them. Stressful situations have also been known to cause a flare up in her IBD.
Ginger is available for viewing at our satellite location at Guelph Animal Hospital. If you have any questions about Ginger, please don’t hesitate to contact Guelph Animal Hospital.
