Abrah’s adoption fee has been generously sponsored by Linda Caston! We are so grateful for their amazing support and we hope this will help Abrah find his new home soon!
Say hello to sweet Abrah! Abrah came to the shelter in February when his owner could no longer take care of him. Abrah had some medical concerns when he arrived. He had some painful teeth that required a dental surgery. Thanks to generous public donations to our Duke’s Fund we were able to provide that treatment and his mouth is feeling much better! Abrah also has diabetes and he was having a hard time regulating his glucose levels. With the help of our veterinarians his glucose levels are now stable and he is in remission, requiring no injections and only needing his special veterinary diet! However his new family will need to continue to monitor carefully with regular vet visits!
He is an exceptionally sweet and loving cat! However he is very scared of children and can be nervous around men too. He is a bit shy at first with new people but generally warms up to women quickly, and he seems OK with calm dogs and probably could be introduced to another cat. We feel he needs to go into a quiet home without a lot of activity and noise. He would likely warm up to a man who could understand that it will take some gentle persuasion and patience. He is quite vocal when he wants something whether it’s food or attention.
Because lots of activity makes him nervous he’s currently hanging out in a loving foster home waiting for that special someone to give him a chance and book a time to meet him!
