The Guelph Humane Society has approximately 100 active foster families and is grateful for every single one. Without the generosity of our foster parents, we would not be able to help as many animals as we do.

One of our amazing foster parents is Laura! Laura began fostering with GHS in 2019 and with the help of her dog Misty (pictured), she has played a key role in giving numerous cats and kittens their second chance. Whether they were scared and timid when they first arrived or simply too young, Laura has helped every one of her foster animals transform into loving additions for any family! Not only has this been a rewarding experience for Laura, but it has also helped her resident cat, Xena, to come out of her shell and made some new kitten friends!

Being a foster parent can sometimes involve nights of little sleep and days of demanding animals looking for walks, playtime, and/or food, especially when you have kittens! But thanks to dedicated volunteers like Laura, we are able to provide a warm, loving home where animals can thrive and develop into wonderful pets!
