Did you know, the Guelph Humane Society helps roughly 1000 cats within Guelph and Wellington County each year!? Thanks to our dedicated Feline Friend volunteers, cats in our care are able to get some extra love and affection while they await their loving home.
Elsie is one of our wonderful Feline Friend volunteers and has been with us for over a year now. With a love for all animals, big and small, Elsie enjoys the time she gets to spend with the cats in our care and knows that each one is unique! While the COVID-19 pandemic has put a damper on our volunteer program, Elsie can’t wait to get back to learn something new from each and every amazing cat here at GHS.
Being a Feline Friend volunteer requires some knowledge of feline body language and can involve a bit of patience as some kitties may be more comfortable with human interaction than others. While some cats may spend more time in our care before they get adopted, we’re lucky to have dedicated volunteers like Elsie who give them that extra attention they deserve while they await their Happy Tail!
