Piper was lost and alone for days, she was scared and in need of help. We don’t know where she came from, but it was clear that Piper had never experienced love and affection in the way we imagine all pets should.
Life had been unkind to Piper; she had signs of overbreeding and was terrified of people.
No one came looking for her. Our work had just begun.
For weeks Piper retreated in fear, but, with the constant support of our animal care team, we started to see a change. It took a month for Piper to gain the confidence to leave her run and even longer for her to attempt a walk outside on a leash.
Piper has come a long way from where she started. Our team is now greeted with sloppy kisses and tail wags.
And, while there is still much work to do to find Piper her Happy Tail, her second chance at a life full of love and kindness is all because of you.
This holiday season please consider donating for pets like Piper.
