Godfrey needs your help

Godfrey Update!

Godfrey’s Story

Late last night, 9-year-old Godfrey arrived at the Guelph Humane Society (GHS) in terrible pain.

He was barely able to move. He was struggling, frightened, and clearly suffering and we knew he urgently needed help.

His bladder was dangerously blocked and close to rupturing. A life-threatening emergency. Without immediate intervention, Godfrey would not have survived.

Our team rushed him for emergency afterhours veterinary care so he could finally get relief. The team was able to unblock him. For the first time in hours, Godfrey could rest without fighting through constant discomfort.

But his care isn’t over.

X-rays revealed he has more than 22 bladder stones that created the dangerous obstruction.

This afternoon Godfrey will need surgery to remove painful bladder stones and give him the chance to heal fully.

Without it, his condition will become life-threatening again.

The good news is that Godfrey’s condition is treatable. The hard truth is that treatment requires immediate surgery.

Today, Godfrey is going into surgery. And we are asking you to be part of what happens next.

The estimated cost of his surgery and care is a minimum of $5,000, and those expenses add up fast.

Because of compassionate supporters like you, we were able to act immediately when Godfrey needed us most.

Now, we’re asking for your help to carry him the rest of the way.

Your donation today will go directly toward Godfrey’s life-saving care, relieving his pain, supporting his recovery, and giving him the chance to enjoy his golden years free from suffering.

If you’re able, please donate today to help Godfrey have the healthy and happy life he deserves. If you’re not in a position to give, sharing this appeal can still make a lifesaving difference.

Thank you for standing with us and for being a voice for animals like Godfrey when they need it most.
