When 4-year-old Juno arrived at GHS she was undernourished, fragile, and unable to keep any food down. Our team was desperate to help her, knowing that her situation was quickly becoming critical. We were afraid that Juno was running out of time, that we might already be too late.
Emergency hospitalization was Juno’s only option, her only hope. Over the next nine days Juno received intensive veterinary care, which included exploratory surgery and IV fluids to stabilize her, as the possible causes for her condition were slowly eliminated.
Thanks to donors like you, Juno was exactly where she needed to be to receive the lifesaving and ongoing care required. Today, Juno is no longer on medication. She eats a healthy amount of food three times daily and is living her best dog life.
This holiday season, we hope you will consider making a gift for the animals in our care. Every contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated.
