Harry, a 1-year-old dog, arrived at the Guelph Humane Society (GHS) in need of urgent medical attention, after an encounter with a porcupine. He had quills on his face, mouth, neck, and chest. He was in extreme pain and unable to eat or drink. More than 300 quills were removed, one by one. The veterinarian said this was the worst case they had ever seen.
