About 5 months ago I decided to adopt a dog, however, I didn’t meet Onyx until about 2 months ago. One day my boyfriend and I decided to go to the Guelph Humane Society (GHS) just to look at dogs. When I saw Onyx, our eyes locked and he was so happy and loving when we played with him. That day I put in an application for him and was very excited. Unfortunately, he first went to another loving home and I was devastated.
A week later, I received a phone call saying that Onyx was brought back to GHS and was asked if I was still interested, which I immediately said “YES” to. I picked Onyx up the next day, and ever since then we have been inseparable. He is the most loving, protective, and affectionate dog I have met. I love him to bits and we have been working on his social manners with dogs and people, as well as leash training. He is such a fast leaner and responds very well to me. He loves to think he is a ‘6lb lap dog’ and just wants cuddles 24/7. I have never been happier and am so thankful for Onyx. He makes me feel very safe when we are walking, and will cuddle me every second. I love him so much and he is so happy in his ‘furever’ home!
