Jay-jay was brought to the shelter because his owner was unable to care for him. He required some medical care and is on the road to recovery! He is a senior fellow who likes to sleep and enjoys trotting around and sniffing outside. Jay-jay had a testicular tumor that caused hair loss, since the tumor removal he is growing his fur back and may have a luscious coat in no time! Jay-jay is quite indifferent to other pets, as long as your pets are gentle with him, he will fit in anywhere. He does a good job at sleeping through the night in his foster home. He does have pee pads in case he doesn’t get outside in time, but in general Jay-jay is pretty house-trained. He may bump into things when he walks and should not be given access to stairs as it is likely he would seriously injure himself. Jay-jay is not fond of dog food but he happily eats any kind of meat! His foster parents are working on incorporating more canned dog food into his diet. Jay-jay is currently receiving thyroid medication that will potentially be for life. If you think you could offer a wonderful home to Jay-jay, please call the shelter to find out more about him (519 824 3091) and we can arrange for him to come to the shelter from his foster home for you to meet him!
