Everyone meet Ava! Ava is a beautiful, friendly, smart, high energy girl that would love to spend her day chasing after tennis balls and playing fetch! She’s a smart cookie who already knows a lot of basic commands- she’ll need an active home to keep her busy, mentally stimulated and happy. Ava has lived with other dogs before but she is quite intense and “pushy”- so ideally she’d like to be the only pet in the home to set her up for success! A well-adjusted dog (with an owner who is used to managing both types of dogs!) might work- cats would be best left out of the picture.

Ava is very loving with family members but due to her breed (Rotti/Doberman) can be protective of them towards strangers coming to the home. As a result she would need to live in a house with a fenced-in yard, apartments/shared walls wouldn’t be ideal as she may become very vocal while she’s protecting you! Ava is uncomfortable around children and since she has a bite history she requires a home where no children are family members or frequent visitors. Ava is used to being left alone loose in the house and has not been destructive and is completely house trained.

Ava is really a quite affectionate happy girl who can’t wait to go home. If you have any questions about Ava, please don’t hesitate to phone the shelter!
