I formally adopted Hunnydew last February. She was my official Valentine, with our anniversary coming up on the 14th.
I knew she was the one because from the first meeting she was perceptive and alert (despite her senior status), with enough snuggles for an army. She was warm and made herself right at home, sweet as honey. So I had to name her accordingly! I had lost my previous dog just a few months before meeting Hunnydew and I was hesitant at first to take the leap, but she made it impossible to leave her at the shelter. We are a perfect fit! And now she has a brother who she adores almost as much as her momma. Thank you so much for nurturing her until we found each other. I am forever thankful.
