Say hello to sweet Reynold! Reynold came to the shelter in December as a stray. This sweet, gentle boy just loves to get attention! He’s either rubbing against you asking for pets and snuggling up on your lap! He’s been “kid tested” with some of the visitors to the shelter and as long as he’s treated lovingly and gently- loves any attention he can get! He’d likely love a tiny human companion!
Reynold tested positive for FIV, but it’s not as scary as it sounds! Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives! FIV means that his immune system may not be as strong as FIV negative kitties. Because of this he needs to be an indoor-only kitty to minimize exposure to viruses and other things that might make him sick! FIV doesn’t spread to people or dogs, and spreads from cat to cat by severe bite wounds only. Therefore Reynold would do fine with another FIV+ cat or a FIV- cat he gets along with! We encourage anyone with another kitty in the home to chat with their vet about FIV if they’re interested in Reynold! This loving gent can’t wait to meet you!
