Meet your friendly neighbourhood Cooper! Cooper is an active, high energy boy in need of an active home willing to give him lots of exercise, walks and mental stimulation! This handsome canine came in as a stray so unfortunately we have no history on him, but he’s got a LOT of potential! Cooper would benefit from someone who’s familiar with the shepherd breed, and willing to become familiar with medical conditions that can accompany the breed with age. He’s been clean in his kennel, so is likely house trained! Cooper has been dog reactive at the shelter and he’s not been the greatest with cats here (will snarl at them) so we recommend a home with no felines to set him up for success! He has demonstrated some touch sensitivity on his paws and mild resource guarding, so we are recommending a home with no children less than 14 years of age to set him up for success! At 55 lbs he’s not a small boy and you’ll notice if you visit him that he has QUITE the bark to him (and is not shy about sharing it!), so he would need to go to a detached home in case he decides to share his songs.
Please feel free to visit Cooper during our Adoption Viewing hours. We hope to see you soon!
