GUELPH, ON (February 2, 2026) – The Guelph Humane Society (GHS) is bringing back Cupid Treats for Furry Feets for a third year, inviting the community to spread a little extra love this Valentine’s Day by sending a special treat to homeless animals waiting for their new families.

Cupid Treats is a simple, feel-good way to support animals in need, with funds raised helping to provide much-needed shelter from the cold, food, and veterinary care for animals who have no one else to care for them.

“At its heart, Cupid Treats is about connection,” said Jane Dawkins, director of communications and community engagement at the Guelph Humane Society. “For animals waiting for a new home, that kindness matters more than people realize. It helps them feel safe, and it helps them develop trust, it helps them feel kindness, sometimes for the first time.”

Supporters taking part will receive a video on Valentine’s Day featuring a shelter animal enjoying their special treat.

“We would love the community to join us again for Cupid Treats,” Dawkins said. “It’s a simple way to support our community’s most vulnerable animals, and to be part of their brighter next chapter.”
