It is Canada’s  biggest and best-attended animal welfare conference. \nIn order to comply with national and provincial health regulations\, Humane Canada cancelled the in-person seventh annual National Animal Welfare Conference\, which was set to take place in Victoria\, BC March 28 – 31. \nWe didn’t want to miss the opportunity to provide you with a fantastic conference program\, and the good news is that we are going to host NAWC online this spring! \nRegistration will be FREE for anyone who had purchased a registration pass for the conference in Victoria. We will also have a paid registration option for anyone who is interested in participating in our online conference. During the month of May\, we will be hosting a birthday fundraiser in honour of Frank for the Guelph Humane Society (referred to as GHS). We will collect donations in store\, online (tedstire.ca) and on our Facebook Page. Also\, for every set of tires sold during the month of May we will donate an additional $10! Check out our photo taking tips HERE. \n2) Write a fun\, short bio sharing what your pet means to you and your family. \n3) Go to 2021 GHS Calendar Contest website and register your pet. There is registration fee of $20 to kick start your voting ($1 = 1 vote). All funds raised in the calendar contest will go towards the highest priority needs at GHS. Before entering you pet make sure you read the contest rules HERE. \n4) Share your contest page with friends and family through your social media channels! DESCRIPTION:Start your ovens\, it’s time to Bake for the Animals!\nFebruary is our most delicious month of the year! Cupcakes\, brownies\, and cookies\, oh my! It’s all about our community coming together and creating delicious treats for friends\, family and colleagues. \nREGISTER HERE!\n  \nWhat is Bake for the Animals?   \nBake for the Animals is a chance for members of the community to show of their baking skills (or attempt to have baking skills) and host a bake sale fundraiser for the GHS! Bakers pick a date\, time & location that works for them\, and sell their baked goods\, with donations going to GHS. This year we are working with the Ottawa Humane Society\, who have put together the amazing website where you’ll be launching your virtual bakery! \nWhen is it?   \nGHS is running this Bake for the Animals for the whole month of February! This allows members of the community the flexibility to pick date(s) & time(s) that work best for you. \nHow can you get involved? \nStart planning your event and thinking of ideas for your delicious treats. \nGet your friends\, family and colleagues together to join in! Bake as a team\, or encourage them to support by purchasing a delicious treat and/or making a donation. Donations can be made online through your virtual bakery\, or collected in person by you (offline pledge form can be downloaded HERE).
